Lawrence Maleka has been announced as the host for the new season of Big Brother Mzansi which will soon air on our tv screens after a lengthy break.
Big Brother Mzansi 2022 is one of the most anticipated reality tv shows that will be coming at the beginning of the new year.
TV personality and a SAFTA winner, Lawrence Maleka is excited to be the host for the new season of Big Brother Mzansi.
Maleka is well-known for his character as Zolani on 1Magic’s The River. He has also hosted many television programs such as Africa Magic Entertainment’s StarGist, Mzansi Magic’s Clash of the Choirs and he also co-hosted the 2021 South African Music Awards.
“I’m excited to be part of this installment of Big Brother Mzansi. The franchise has become a massive phenomenon in African as well as South African pop culture, and I’m happy to join in the fun as a presenter.

“The fan base is huge and massively loyal – it’s an honour to be part of such a fantastic production,” said Maleka.
For three months, contestants battle it out in the Big Brother House for the coveted prize. In-house games, parties and scandals form the gist of the show, with contestants having to wow fans and fellow contestants to battle it to the end while the weakest links get voted out.
The Shower Hour, most-liked by viewers, makes a return in the highly anticipated new season of Big Brother Mzansi.
As always, a dedicated 24-hour channel will air daily shows and weekly highlights of the show.
Saturday night parties hosted with Channel O, featuring Mzansi’s best DJs and Friday game nights are the other attractions viewers will be treated to.
Sundays provide the climax of events during the week as the weakest link is voted out and evicted from the Big Brother House.
