Botswana-born actor and co-founder of Ferguson Films, Shona Ferguson revealed that season two of the hit Netflix series, Kings of Jo’burg would return to our screens in April before he passed away on 30 July.
Shona announced the news on his Instagram account while sitting in his Lamborghini, parked next to Connie Ferguson and his daughter, Alicia Ferguson.
He stated that the making of Kings of Jo’burg season two was in progress.
Several media outlets announced back in August that season two of the popular Netflix series will premiere on 3 December.
Ferguson Films co-founder Connie Ferguson has not denied nor confirmed whether the news is true.
Season one of the series became popular globally when it premiered on Netflix last year on 4 December and was applauded by viewers for its remarkable storyline and incredible casting.
The series included some of Mzansi’s most-talented actors including, Zolisa Xaluva and Thembi Seete who plays husband and wife on Gomora, Cindy Mahlangu and SK Khoza who act on The Queen, Tsholofelo Matshaba who currently plays Rakgadi on The River and Abdul Khoza who currently plays Nqoba on Showmax’s Hlomu The Wife, and seasoned actress, Buhle Samuels.
Shona Ferguson acted alongside his wife on the series as Simon Vader Masire, a KOJ brotherhood member, leader and charismatic brother who ran the family’s affairs.
Viewers are now wondering if there will still be season two of the hit series and whether Shona’s character will be killed off in season two, or whether he’ll be replaced to keep the Sho Going.
